about onesee
onesee is a yearlong photography project by Vancouver artist Jessica Bell. The project has several goals which include but are not limited to the following:
- make 365 ‘photo stitches’, one for each day of the year beginning April 1, 2010 and ending on March 31, 2011
- make each photo stitch out of the standard movement and activity of each day
- make each ‘photo stitch’ as a composite of two images, in varying proportions on a 1024 x 768 pixel canvas, without cropping in or retouching, in an attempt to unify two views of a single day, in the approximate manner that each human eye sees and records a separate view, but stitches each view together into a single visual notation
